Free Days at the SF Zoo

My little girl loves animals, especially our dogs. But I also want to show here that there are more beautiful creatures in this world besides dogs, so what better way to do that than to take her to the zoo! Their free days is the first Wednesday of every month to SF Residents only. You have to show proof that you live in the city w/ drivers license, utility, or phone bill w/ your address.

If it isn't the first Wednesday of the month and you still want to go, SF Residents have a discounted rate. Not that much, but it is still reasonable.

Persons Age Rate
Adults 15-64 $12.00
Seniors 65 and over $7.50
Children 4-14 $5.50
Children 3 and under Free

Again, you must show proof of residency.

Transportation and Parking:
  • If you use public transportation (Muni) $1 discount will be applied to your zoo ticket.
  • Parking is $8.00, but there is free parking along Sloat Blvd if you are willing to walk.
Here is a link to the animal's feeding schedules, one of our favorite things to see when we are there.

Take a walk on the wild side, and have fun!
