San Francisco Food Bank Hunger Challenge Update

Hello All. My family and I have been meaning to do the San Francisco Food Bank Hunger Challenge this week, however, we have had a very busy week for many reasons! I really want to give it the good old college try and will definately start next week since it will be less hectic. My husband has recently got a job which means no more home cooked dinners for me and my little one because he works the evening shift! Not only will this be a hunger challenge in terms the monetary amount one can spend everyday- but it will be a hunger challenge for us because I have to get back into the cooking swing considering that my husband was doing the bulk of cooking for our family! I have been researching many ways to save money and feed ourselves on $4 each day and it is a daunting and stressful task! We'll see how it goes starting on Sunday!

On a less stressful note- you can donate money to the cause here. For every dollar donated- the food bank can distribute $6 worth of food!

If donating money isn't your style, consider this. Tyson Foods have offered to donate 30,000 pounds of chicken to the food bank - thanks to the Hunger Challenge! BUT to get it, we need people to go to the Tyson website and make a comment about hunger in San Francisco. For every comment, Tyson will put another 100 pounds of chicken on the truck - up to 30,000 pounds!
