All this rainy weather has had me cooped up in this house with a newborn and a toddler. Between breastfeeding and entertaining my daughter, I've managed to clean out my closet of clothes I know I won't use anymore. I bought three bags of my clothes to Crossroads Trading Co. on Irving in SF and I received $95.03 in cash! I could have also chose to receive $133 in trade, but I wanted the cold hard money!
I have always sold my clothes to Crossroads every time I get the chance to clean out my closet, and I suggest you do also if you want to downsize your closet, make room for new clothing, and get rid of clothes you don't want anymore. I have always been happy with the service and the outcome of the process. I usually bring bags of clothes in, leave them there for them to sort through and choose what they want to buy, and then I return a couple of days later to pick up what they didn't want and a check for what they wanted to buy. You can also choose to wait while they sort and look through their clothes, but that usually takes a while because I find that there is always a line.
They have particular guidelines as to what type of clothes they buy, specifically clothes that are in season. I would recommend checking out their website and calling a location near you to figure out what they like. Definitely check out their website because it has tons of info on how to sell, how to sell, etc.
I also want to sell my maternity clothes because I plan on NOT having another child in a while! If you want to sell stuff via the internet route, Ebay is having a no selling fee until February 28th. Through February 28th you get free Insertion Fees for Auction-style listings—up to 50 items, add the Buy It Now option for free and pay only if your item sells!
Head on over to check out the deal and get started!
Take advantage of this rainy weather and avoid cabin fever by being productive! I hear it's going to be a long week of rain!
