I am always looking for the perfect touch to add to my daughter's bedroom. I like her to have her own input as to what her room looks like, color, decoration, etc. If you too are looking for personalized artwork for your child, Kidlandia is where it's at!
About Kidlandia®
Founded in 2008 by entrepreneur and artist Brian Backus, Kidlandia.com helps kids and parents create personalized kingdoms of their very own. Kidlandia grew out of Brian’s 2004 concept to create personalized maps of fanciful kingdoms for children’s rooms. He believed that, by providing children with their own kingdoms with friendly monsters as companions, kids would gain an increased sense of confidence, control and self-worth. Today, Kidlandia has more than 15 designs on over 12 products to choose from and personalize including maps, family trees, and kingdoms offered on posters, gallery wrap canvases, canvas scrolls, wall hangings, door-hangers, growth charts, placemats, puzzles and more. Kidlandia allows kids and parents to imagine, create and rule!
My daughter was able to create a personalized canvas door hanger and we cannot wait to get it. She was able to choose which map, color scheme, and theme she wanted. She was able to name each part of the map with a name of a family member and add more pictures and decorations than what is standard on the canvas. I am sure she will be delighted to see it's finished product and proudly hang her creation on her door.
From a parent's perspective, the site was very easy to navigate and I was able to let my daughter handle the computer herself to be as creative as she wanted to be.
If you are interested in let your children create their own map or would like to make one as a gift check out their website http://www.kidlandia.com/Default.aspx
