One of the best pieces of advise that I can give as a mom of school aged kids is to stay organized. I too start the school year off with rearranging my desk and purchasing organizers for the year. Each tray has the child's name on it and they know where their things go. I think it is important as a parent to inform your children of these expectations so that they can help you help them. The first weeks of school is crazy flooded with paperwork, right? I think I have more homework than them! So, making sure things get filed where they need to be keeps us sane all year. As a busy mom of 4 and working at home, these simple steps make the school year a breeze. No one is crying later nor am I feeling guilty for not turning in a field trip signed form on time - everything is set. A calendar is a good way to keep those activities listed too. So, take some time out and organize before the madness begins!
Here is a cool product that I saw too, make sure you add this to your shopping list!
