First it was Angry Birds and then draw Draw Something and now the latest game my family recently discovered and is now addicted to is Fairway Solitaire. The app is free and comes with several courses and levels though for $0.99 you can get the full unlocked version on the iphone and $2.99 on the ipad.
Fairway Solitaire is a unique card game that combines solitaire with golf to create an experience unlike any other and will leave you tapping away on your iphone or ipad for hours. You play the cards in sequential order choosing a number higher or lower than the number shown and try to create long runs to get a long drive and come in under par. Try not to miss a card though or you'll have to take a mulligan. When you make a long chain of cards you'll get to take a shot and earn money to buy your irons. Add in a meddling gopher named McDivot, funny announcers and surprises like wild shots, water and sand trap and you'll surely find yourself having a difficult time putting this game down.
Golfing fans (like my husband and brother) will thoroughly appreciate this game and even those not interested in golf (like myself) will enjoy a new twist on an old classic.
