Blueberries are packed with vitamins C and K, and fiber and when you add these yummy berries to a spinach salad (or eat them with another produce item rich in iron), the vitamin C in the blueberries helps your body absorb the iron better.
I buy a bunch and freeze some so when they are no longer in season and but feel like having some blueberries I can always take out a handful and toss it in my yogurt, cereal, oatmeal or blender to whip up a smoothie.
