Free Temescal Street Cinema on June 14th

On Thursday, June 14th Temescal Street Cinema will be featuring The Waiting Room by Peter Nicks - a moving, chaotic, at times humorous character-driven documentary depicting a day in the life of the emergency room at Oakland’s Highland Hospital. Festivities begin at 8pm and the film will start at 8:45pm. Along with the free cinema there will be free popcorn and live music. Seating is limited, so come early and bring a low chair.

Temescal Street Cinema is a free outdoor summer movie series featuring the work of Bay Area film and video artists in the Temescal District of North Oakland. Each week opens with live music and features several creative local food vendors. Since it began in 2008, the goal has been to highlight the work of Bay Area artists, while bringing people together in a dynamic community event that fosters connections in our community.
