Infant Monkey Costume Review

We enjoy dressing baby E in costumes because it's entertaining for us, for him (but mostly for us) and we all have fun doing it. To date he's dressed up as a lion, a dinosaur, a rabbit, a duck and most recently a monkey.  We decided to go with the baby monkey costume from Anytime Costumes.

The costume is made of a micro fiber plush material that's machine washable on the hand wash/delicate cold wash cycle despite it saying dry clean only on the label which was a relief since baby E has eczema and we didn't want the dry cleaning chemicals to cause any flare ups. The costume also comes with a matching hood with monkey ears, a monkey tail that's attached to the jumpsuit and monkey feet footsies. The recommended size is for infants 6-18 months (16-24lbs) though baby E was swimming in the costume a bit. The monkey costume  runs on the larger side as baby E is almost 20 lbs and he had a good one to two inches left in the legs. With his first Halloween a few months away this may possibly be his costume since it appears that he's got some room to grow into it. The hood and footsies kept falling off though this was probably caused by him squirming around and being an active, mischievous little monkey not wanting to sit still for photos. One nice feature about the costume is the snap tape closure along the inside of the legs that makes for easy diaper changes. Overall this monkey costume was a hit in our family and made playtime a little more memorable.
