Groupon has an awesome deal on a small EcoSphere Closed Aquatic Ecosystem pod for $45 that typically retails for $79. We received our EcoSphere small pod for Christmas from our sister about four years ago and we still love it!

The Ecosphere is super easy to care for and really low maintenance because it's a self-sustaining aquatic ecosystem with shrimp, algae, bacteria and microorganisms. Occasionally you can take the little magnet and clean the glass as needed otherwise it makes for nice decoration around the house, definitely a great conversation starter and a wonderful unique gift option.
